Topeka Friends Meeting is a Quaker meeting of the Society of Friends directly affiliated with the Friends General Conference (FGC).
We are located a block west of the capital at 8th and Tyler and welcome visitors for our meeting for Worship, beginning at 9:45 a.m., followed by our discussion time at 11:00 a.m.
Our meeting practices “unprogrammed” worship which means we gather in silence to wait for God’s leading and ministry without an appointed clergy. Worship lasts for about an hour and is closed by the clerk of the meeting. During this time of silence we seek a fuller communion with God and some may feel led to share a message out of the silence. Often, the silence is unbroken for the full hour.
Visitors are asked to sign the guest book and to help themselves to leaflets or pamphlets about a variety of Quaker topics.
